Description
Would like to be able to provision systems without doing installs, using pre-installed images either via pxeboot or via virt environment.
If using virt environment then images should be read only and a separate volume for write data (filesystem journal). This would allow for one image to be used for multiple machines.

How would you dump the image in the destination? would you pxeboot something like clonezilla? to dump the file ?
as far as it goes to filesystem journal, I would assume we need to investigate further, one option would be to use nfs root solutions which allows this kind of overlay, for pure images, we would need some lower level support which I'm not aware of at the moment.
