Bug #26050
closedThe foreman-maintain should bypass yum excludes when running the yum update, to avoid cases when exclusion where configured and forgotten.
Description
User can exclude packages from yum update and if there are packages excluded which are from required Satellite/Foreman repositories then yum can fail with dependency issues. To avoid this foreman-maintain should have way to handle this or bypass this.

We had discussion on this and foreman-maintain will have a preupgrade check where it will check for excludes and show error. We decided to not provide any procedure or auto fix for this like --disableexcludes with yum command because system could have specific packages excluded in yum because of requirement, like external SAN or storage or required drivers on system.
The check will fail if exclude is configured and let user fix it for system.
