Redmine Bug #20733 (New): Create Docker container issueshttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/207332017-08-24T13:37:07ZAnonymous

Hey,

I'm using Foreman v1.15.3, Katello 3.4.4 and Docker plugin v3.2.1.
When i'm trying to create a container i get the errors in production.log:

Content View

API v1 - Repository images request failed

After setting Content View, Repo etc. and clicking 'Next step' the input is resetted, so it's not possible to create a container with Content View.

Docker hub or external registry (which is Docker hub in my setup - https://registry.hub.docker.com)

API v1 - Search failed

Although the searching for container fails searching for tags does not.
If i ignore the failed search and go to the next step creation of the container succeed.
Bug #19492 (New): incompatible character encodings: UTF-8 and ASCII-8BIThttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/194922017-05-09T09:57:19ZAndreas Pfaffenederapfaffeneder@pfaffeneder.org

When accessing the details for a container, I get the error message:

Oops, we're sorry but something went wrong incompatible character encodings: UTF-8 and ASCII-8BIT

A debug has been uploaded: http://debugs.theforeman.org/foreman-debug-XXaPO.tar.xz

I have installed docker plugin and I would like to check the each vms disk usage. But I can see only,

IP Address
CPU
UUID
Memory
Command
Exposed ports
Running on

How can I check the disk usage ?
Bug #14244 (Closed): Add in translation changes which were missed in earlier pull requesthttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/142442016-03-16T16:25:33ZBryan Kearneybryan.kearney@gmail.com

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create container either via AOI, hammer or via WebUI
2. Try to delete container via API or hammer
3.

Actual results:
Container is still listed but turned into unmanaged mode

Expected results:
Container completely removed

Additional info:
Container can be deleted via WebUI without any problem. Even more - those unmanaged containers can be deleted via WebUI too.
Bug #13391 (Closed): Update the zanata mapping filehttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/133912016-01-26T14:31:24ZBryan Kearneybryan.kearney@gmail.com

Description of problem:
When creating new container the container is started though the below message is displayed.

Version release number:
Foreman 1.7.5-1
ruby-foreman-docker 1.4.1

Steps to reproduce:
Foreman UI Containers > New Container > Compute Resource (Select docker host) Click Next > Image (type ubuntu, tag 14.04, click next) > Configuration (type a name, set command to /bin/bash leave entrypoint blank/default) > Environment (tick run or not) Hit submit

Actual results:

Popup notification in green "successfully updated <container_name>"
with below error

undefined method `cpu_shares' for #<Fog::Compute::Fogdocker::Server:0x0000000b1887c8>
NoMethodError
undefined method `cpu_shares' for #<Fog::Compute::Fogdocker::Server:0x0000000b174b60>
app/models/concerns/foreman/thread_session.rb:33:in `clear_thread'
lib/middleware/catch_json_parse_errors.rb:9:in `call'
Bug #12116 (New): `hammer compute-resource create -h` do not mention Dockerhttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/121162015-10-08T16:59:43ZBryan Kearneybryan.kearney@gmail.com

Cloned from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1190790
Description of problem:
`hammer compute-resource create -h` do not mention Docker. E.g. help text for "--url" says "URL for Libvirt, RHEV, and Openstack". Also in webUI when creating Docker compute resource I see fields "Username", "Password" (I do not know what are these for, but `hammer compute-resource create -h` do not mention Docker in the help text) and "Email" (again, I do not see what is this for, but in hammer I do not see a way how to supply this).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite-6.1.0-RHEL-7-20150205.0-Satellite-x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. # hammer compute-resource create -h | grep -i Docker

Actual results:

hammer -u admin -p changeme compute-resource create -h
Usage:
hammer compute-resource create [OPTIONS]

Options:
--description DESCRIPTION
--location-ids LOCATION_IDS REPLACE locations with given ids
Comma separated list of values.
--locations LOCATION_NAMES Comma separated list of values.
--name NAME
--organization-ids ORGANIZATION_IDS REPLACE organizations with given ids.
Comma separated list of values.
--organizations ORGANIZATION_NAMES Comma separated list of values.
--password PASSWORD Password for RHEV, EC2, Vmware, Openstack. Secret key for EC2
--provider PROVIDER Providers include
--region REGION for EC2 only
--server SERVER for Vmware
--set-console-password SET_CONSOLE_PASSWORD for Libvirt and Vmware only
One of true/false, yes/no, 1/0.
--tenant TENANT for Openstack only
--url URL URL for Libvirt, RHEV, and Openstack
--user USER Username for RHEV, EC2, Vmware, Openstack. Access Key for EC2.
--uuid UUID for RHEV, Vmware Datacenter
-h, --help print help

Expected results:
I would expect Docker is mentioned at least in description of "--url" option. If it makes sense, should be there for "--user" and "--password" and maybe "--email" should be added.
Bug #11984 (Closed): Add foreman-docker to transifex in order to be trasnlatedhttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/119842015-09-28T15:00:38ZBryan Kearneybryan.kearney@gmail.com

2 fields are presented when you select a 'docker' registry type. URL & Upstream Repository Name. If you put in a value for URL, but no value for the name, you get an error in grey text:

"cannot be blank. Either provide all or no sync information."

This should be correctly formatted and highlighted in red.
Bug #10417 (Closed): Container States from the model are not extracted for translationshttps://projects.theforeman.org/issues/104172015-05-07T14:34:26ZBryan Kearneybryan.kearney@gmail.com

I installed docker plugin from https://github.com/theforeman/foreman-docker and connected foreman to the docker server via sock file but when I create a new host after submitting I get the same new host screen without any errors. Checking the logs I see there is an issue with the IP for the host and there is no way to add an interface with IP for the new host in the network tab.

This is what the logs show:
Failed to save: IP address is invalid
