Description

Currently, IAM roles can only be defined on the image. Since each image must have a distinct AMI ID, we are forced to make copies of an image to allow for differing IAM instance roles. This should be settable elsewhere or multiple images with the same AMI ID should be allowed.

+1 here. Because of the limitation on AMI instance ID (one only), the place where roles are set is not the correct one. We should be able to define a default role, however, it should be allowed to set during new instance deployment. Because we cannot add IAM role as soon as the instance has been deployed.
Any estimations?
