Description

Hello,
I try install plugin Foreman Cockpit via foreman-installer --enable-foreman-plugin-cockpit but this error show up: ERROR: Unrecognised option '--enable-foreman-plugin-cockpit'
So I install it via apt-get command with success.
Then I restart Apache and Foreman service. But Cockpit button don't appear.
I'm using admin role of Foreman web service.
My OS is Debian 8.

  • Project changed from Foreman Remote Execution to Plugins

There's no installer support for this plugin, probably until Foreman 1.11.

I'll point the author to this ticket, but IIRC the plugin will only activate when viewing hosts on certain Cockpit-enabled OSes (Debian is not one).

Ok my bad, but on that web is "Ubuntu families", so I think Debian is part of Ubuntu family.

It's the other way around - Ubuntu is a member of the Debian family. The plugin only tries to load on the OSes that Cockpit runs on, which doesn't appear to be Debian.

It seems there's work being done for Debian: http://dominik.perpeet.eu/cockpit-on-debian-8-2 - Daniel, it might make sense to relax that OS check.
