1. Proposed title of this feature request

[RFE] katello-backup needs an option to exclude packages in backup.

3. What is the nature and description of the request?

If we take a backup of the satellite using the katello-backup script not only the databases and files from the satellite are copied , all the packages from distribution are also copied. This makes the backup extremely big. Customer wants an option to exclude packages from the backup.

4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

For the backup of satellite server but without packages.

5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
