Description

When adding a new Host it is not possible to add multiple DNS-Entries.

e.g.
New Host -> test.vm -> IP -> 10.0.0.2
DNS-Entries -> 10.0.0.2 | test.vm
10.0.0.2 | *.test.vm

Related to Foreman - Feature #9388: Add CNAME suport in foreman UIReady For Testing02/14/2015Actions

  • Project changed from Installer to Foreman
  • Category set to DNS

As a possible workaround, you can add additional network interfaces to one host and Foreman will create A/PTR records for those extra IPs. It won't let you assign more than one name to one IP.

CNAME support is tracked in #9388, and general DNS management in #1581.
