Description

Well i try again to upgrade my production instance from 2.4.2 to katello 3.0 RC5 but unfortunately fail

1.-First the rake db:migrate on installation fail also found this

2.- all my content hosts are unsubscribe and when try to subscribe got the following

Mario,

Looking at the foreman-debug, I am confused by what I see as there are no pre-upgrade steps listed in the katello.log file. Can you double check there isn't anything missing? Can you list your upgrade steps?

Did you need the csv of foreman-rake katello:preupgrade_content_host_check or what pre-upgrade steps you are talking about

this what i did

foreman-rake katello:preupgrade_content_host_check
yum -y update
  1. yum update -y http://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/yum/3.0/katello/el7/x86_64/katello-repos-latest.rpm
  2. yum update -y http://yum.theforeman.org/releases/1.11/el7/x86_64/foreman-release.rpm
  3. yum update -y foreman-release-scl
  4. yum clean all
  5. yum -y update
  6. foreman-installer --scenario katello --upgrade

Today i try the latest RC same issue this what i did

foreman-rake katello:preupgrade_content_host_check

This is what i get on the csv the hosts that is going to be deleted.

uuid, name, hostname, last_checkin, causes for deletion

I can login to the foreman gui and i can see all my hosts still up and running before of RC5 all the hosts appear unsubscribe and i can add a new hosts apparently is fixed with this version but still the issue of the foreman db:migrate if you can advise or need any more information please let me know

Ok i found the issue at this moment also on Content Hosts all my hosts are unsubscribe and i can give you subscription via gui or subscription manager

Mario,

When you do your upgrade to the GA release, using the upgrade checks and such, can you let us know if you still hit this error or if it was only present in the RC?
