Upgrade from Katello 2.4 to 3.0 loses content host data

Description
After upgrading from Katello 2.4 to 3.0 I noticed that all the hosts' "Registered" dates had been reset to the current date/time. The same is true of "Last checkin" (reset to "Never checked in"), and also apparently system facts (emptied).

Running that upgrade task manually on a VM clone of my failed upgrade (I reverted the original back to a snapshot) fails:
