Bug #19256
closedInstallation/update of katello-agent on RHEL 5 fails
Description
Output of yum update katello-agent:
--> Running transaction check
---> Package katello-agent.noarch 0:2.9.1-1.el5 set to be updated
--> Processing Dependency: gofer >= 2.7.6 for package: katello-agent
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
katello-agent-2.9.1-1.el5.noarch from PPP_Katello_client_3_3_el5_x86_64 has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: gofer >= 2.7.6 is needed by package katello-agent-2.9.1-1.el5.noarch (PPP_Katello_client_3_3_el5_x86_64)
Error: Missing Dependency: gofer >= 2.7.6 is needed by package katello-agent-2.9.1-1.el5.noarch (PPP_Katello_client_3_3_el5_x86_64)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
Seems that gofer >= 2.7.6 is needed, and only version gofer-2.7.5-1.el5.noarch is available in the https://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/yum/3.3/client/el5 repository.
Can you please fix this, because we have about 30 RHEL5.10 systems that we have to move from RedHat Satellite5 to Katello.
Thanks very much!
