when auto discovery fails, the logs do not show why, an error should at least include the line in which the action failed and probably a trace.

Unfortunately most of exceptions ends up in SQL logger, this has been fixed in Foreman 1.16+ fortunately (orchestration logging patch). I will check the codebase and test if there are swalloved exceptions in the autoprovisioning code tho.
