VNC Console times out when SSL is enabled

Description
Environment: foreman 1.1.RC4 running through nginx+passenger, ssl enabled (self-signed certificate)
I am not able to connect to oVirt VNC console
loading console hangs for a while on message: noVNC ready: native WebSockets, canvas rendering
then it fails with: Connect timeout
I can reproduce this issue on Firefox 18.0.1 and Opera 12.13 (both linux). This issue CANNOT be reproduced using Chromium (v24)
Also this issue does not occur when SSL is disabled
