Description

After stepping through 1.13 -> 1.14 -> 1.15 -> 1.16 we have some hosts that now have duplicated NICs. It would appear these NICs are all empty and have no actual information. The problem is, if we edit anything on those hosts, Foreman complains that we have 2 NICs with the same name. So then we have to go and either rename the NIC, or delete it. Is there a hammer/rake command I can run to see all the duplicated NICs, and some way to remove them en masse?

I didn't find any snippet that would search for dups and remove them but it shouldn't be too hard to do it with hammer. The bigger concern is how this happened in the first place. Do you see more dups being created when running 1.16?

Not yet anyway.. I'll keep looking, it only seems to have done it on older hosts.

Closing, unless finding new hosts (starting from 1.16) have this issue. If so, I'll re-open/re-create.
