running:

~]# foreman-maintain backup online --incremental
no implicit conversion of nil into String

The message does not really explain the problem, non incremental variants are-handled better, e.g.:

~]# foreman-maintain backup online
ERROR: parameter 'BACKUP_DIR': no value provided
