Sometimes when changing the Lifecycle Environment on a Host or Hostgroup the Content View dropdown will be reloaded but give the illusion that it's empty by showing a blank line as the selected option.

Can be reproduced in a few ways, here's one:

Hosts -> Create Hosts
    Select the parent host group
    Now check to make sure operating system is properly loaded
    Now change the environment to dev
    Note the content-view drop down goes blank
    The install medium does not get set even after new content view selected.
