Feature #27019
openCommunication with Compute Resource through smart-proxy
Description
Cloned from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1643466
Description of problem:
Compute resource can be only connected through satellite. But not possible to connect through the capsule.
We have 3 different data centers on 3 different location. Each location has VXrack and Vcenter. For managing the Linux servers, we have provisioned 1 satellite server in one location and other 2 location has capsule connected to the satellite. Our issue is when we want to connect the VCenter to Satellite, we need to open 443 from one site to another 2 site. But if there is a way to connect the Vcenter through the Capsule, then we no need to open the port between the location.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.3.2
6.3.3
6.4
How reproducible:
Install fresh satellite and 2 capsule in 3 different location. Try to add the VCenter as the compute resource to satellite. It fails if the satellite not open the port 443 to other 2 location.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install one satellite and 2 capsule on 3 location (or 3 different network)
2. Try to add VCenter as compute resource on the satellite for all the 3 location
3. If the port 443 is not open from satellite to other 2 location VCenter, then connection will fail.
Actual results:
Unable to load the datacenter/ Connection refused
Expected results:
VCenter should be able to add or connect through the respective capsule on respective location
