Bug #28029
closedphysical server with one socket takes two rhel standard subscriptions
Description
Hello
When I register a rhel server with one socket to Foreman, it takes two standard licenses. Correctly it should take just one license (one license is for two sockets). The same is, when I register rhel server with two sockets, it also takes two licenses. Is there some configuration for the number of subscriptions or is it a bug?
Using foreman-1.21.3-1.el7.noarch, katello-3.11.1-1.el7.noarch.
Thanks

Hey Ondrej,
Could you provide the facts output for the host and the SKU info for the subscription. Could you also provide the screenshot for the consumed subscription of the host.

Hello
I have added two screenshots. Is it enough? I don't know what exactly you mean by facts output and SKU info.
As you can see, it's a server with one socket, but it took two licences.
I'm sorry for masking the hostname and IP, but it's company system so I can't publish the server identity.

Hello Chris
This article explains it. It was not the problem of license counting but I was misunderstanding the difference between subscription and entitlement. Thank you very much.
