Description

foreman silenlty fails to dowload rhel rpms and arks the sync job sucessful

foreman job (also dynflow) marks the job as complete. also it reports that it synced x number of packages. in reality the rpm is not downloaded but the symlink for that package is created from pulp.
This results in packages not being availabe to hosts.

foreman 1.24.2
katello 3.14

The only way for me to fix this has been to resync from scratch the whole REPO with a complete sync. There should be a way for me to get a notification or for pulp to verify what it is publishing. A failed symmlink is a huge issue.

Which download policy were you using when you encountered this problem?

Can you post a screenshot of your repository details? Thanks!

Hi Besmir,

If you change your download policy to Immediate and then sync, the symlink issue should be fixed. Please let us know if this doesn't work.

Besmir were you able to try to change your download policy to immediate?

Hi, did not try yet. enabling now
does it mean that on the next sync it will not allow to create these empty symlinks?

Can you go to Monitor -> Tasks and try to Resume the failed repository update task? Feel free to share more screenshots if it continues to fail.
