Description

Attempting to promote any new / existing content view to a new lifecycle is failing with:

"undefined method `>' for nil:NilClass"

actually... i just found this sole post that had a solution in it. Looks like a bug?

still happens in 2.0.1

Summary from the discussion linked above:

Problem:
I just upgraded Foreman and all smart proxies to 2.0 and Katello to 3.15 as per documentation.
The upgrade went fine without issues with foreman-installer.
But now when I try to promote new version, to Library it goes fine, but not to other environments I created.
Error is NoMethodError: undefined method `>’ for nil:NilClass

Expected outcome:
After new version is published to Library to be promoted to the rest of the Lifecycle environments

Foreman and Proxy versions:
2.0
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:
Katello 3.15
Distribution and version:
CentOS 7.8

Closing as duplicate. This was fixed in Katello 3.16; see additional comments on the referenced issue
