docker-ce fails to pull docker images
Added by Ian Ballou over 3 years ago.
Updated over 2 years ago.
Description
docker-ce, as opposed to the regular docker that you'd install on CentOS 7, fails to pull images with the following error:
Error response from daemon: missing or empty Content-Length header
Follow these steps to get docker-ce (docker-ce-cli-20.10.7-3.el7.x86_64 was the version tested): https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/centos/
- Triaged changed from No to Yes
- Target version changed from Katello 4.1.1 to Katello 4.2.0
- Triaged changed from Yes to No
Ian says this doesn't need to go on 4.1.1, so untriaging
- Triaged changed from No to Yes
- Target version changed from Katello 4.2.0 to Katello 4.3.0
- Target version changed from Katello 4.3.0 to Katello 4.4.0
- Target version changed from Katello 4.4.0 to Katello 4.5.0
Hitting this also in a customer environment where switching to podman is no option, I tested with my client using podman it is fine, another one tested with docker 19.03.6 (which is quite old) and it also worked, but the environment where it should be used is at current version docker 20.10.14.
