Description

It sure would be nice if the Katello team would work with pulp to add the ability to log the URL's of downloads. Right now, if you use a on-demand repo, there is almost ZERO logging when it comes to knowing if a package was downloaded from the upstream repo, if it was served out of cache or if it failed. That is all a blackbox that provides no real information in Katello. Frankly the logging of the pulp3 stuff going on in Katello is abysmal. I think we can do better but it may take someone working with the pulp team to get more info from pulp than it currently provides.

Hi Vi,

After talking to the other developers, all this logging comes from Pulp itself and not Katello in this case.

Can you open an issue over here:

Another thing you could do is setup an squid http proxy and you would see all the downloads etc, as a workaround until Pulp can triage the issue.
