It would be helpful if it was possible to inject an optional snippet into a pre-install section of the kickstart files.

We are using "Kickstart default", but have to modify it to fit our ldap environment. For that we write /etc/login.defs with modified uid/gid ranges to the host before the installer starts to make sure that all uids allocated during the installation match the ranges. That happens in the %pre-install section. The current "Kickstart default" template doesn't allow to put a snippet into the pre-install section. Thus we have to use our own custom kickstart template which we have to keep up-to-date with any changes from the original one.
