Bug #39258
closedUnable to save host configuration due to missing variant_repos method
Description
There is an issue that arises when content-hosts are updated. When a host that was originally assigned to a RHEL or CentOS OS is updated to one that does not support the "@Appstream Repos" / variant_repos method, we see errors like the following:
Failed to render template 'Preseed default', error: undefined method 'variant_repos' for #<Debian id: .............
This can currently only be worked around by setting the OS back to RHEL / CentOS before making changes, or deleting and re-creating the host.

For the future, if you triage your own issue, it will skip our upstream triage meeting which means it may get less visibility.
Thanks for the report! Triaging now.

No problem, thanks for the info! My apologies - I will defer triage to maintainers in future.
