Description

When using the "Preseed Autoinstall cloud-init user data" for provisionning Ubuntu 26 machines, the root password is not set. So at the end of installation the root password is empty and every user can be root.
It worked fine for Ubuntu 24 with the same preseed, but now with Ubuntu 26, it seems the "hashed_passwd" line in the yaml file is ignored.
