Feature #5374
closedArchive hosts so they can be hidden from the main UI
Description
Archiving:
As a user I should be able to check a box that marks a system as
"archived" which hides it from the normal registered systems list.
Back-end:
Systems that are archived should not have any subscription accounting,
auto attaching or reporting done against them.
Reporting/Auditing:
As a user I should be able to view a list of archived systems in one
place and be able to search them by the last recorded facts (ex:
hostname, fqdn, ip address, etc)

is this a foreman feature, katello or both?
Can we wait with this functionality after we unify host/systems in foreman/katello?

It's a bit of both. The puppet/Foreman history of a system is also something that ideally should be archive-able as well. Waiting for unification seems logical.
