Feature #8496

Inherit latest content view
Added by Daniel Lobato Garcia about 10 years ago.
Updated over 5 years ago.
Description
There should be a way to have some kind of 'dynamic' content views which are just like regular content views, but inherit the 'latest' version of previous content views. Currently content views only inherit specific version of parents, it's not dynamic.
Files
- Has duplicate Feature #9661: "Use Latest" button added to composite content views added
- Translation missing: en.field_release set to 31
- Triaged changed from No to Yes
When implementing this, please consider that currently one simply picks the version. The version, in the context of the UI (see attached), has no indication of which environment it is in. I would suggest that in the version picker something like the following is displayed:
Always highest version in Library
Always highest version in Development
12 Library Snap9 Sat6.1 beta
11 Development Snap8 Sat6.1 beta
Entries are of format:
version number
lifecycle environment name
ellipsized version description
- Bugzilla link set to 1224575
- Bugzilla link changed from 1224575 to 1224628
- Translation missing: en.field_release changed from 31 to 70
- Translation missing: en.field_release changed from 70 to 86
- Translation missing: en.field_release changed from 86 to 114
- Status changed from New to Closed
