To use a subnet in Foreman, it has to already be configured on your DHCP server. At the moment, Foreman doesn't manage the subnet-level configuration of the DHCP server, so this has to be done either manually or via a Puppet module such as "theforeman/dhcp":https://github.com/theforeman/puppet-dhcp.

You can import some subnet details into Foreman that have already been configured on your DHCP server by going to Infrastructure > Smart proxies and clicking "Import subnets" next to the DHCP proxy server.
