ERF88-9474 [Foreman::BMCFeatureException]: There is no proxy with BMC feature set up. Associate a BMC feature with a subnet.

Foreman no longer uses the first available smart proxy with BMC feature for BMC operations. Subnet now have BMC Proxy association which needs to be explicitly added, otherwise this error appears for any BMC operation.

Context¶

This shows up after upgrade to Foreman 2.2 or on a new deployment when the host does not have a BMC Proxy associated via its Subnet.

Associate BMC Proxy via Subnet of the BMC interface.
