New Plugin: local/proxy execution: selected UI hosts aren't targets, they are a job template variable
Description
It's the same asked in Feature #17091 but perphats its not the best place.
A plugin that use the selected host in Foreman UI not as target for remote execution. Use that list of host like parameter (or input for the job template).
A box for establish the target for execute the job template (only ONE target its possible), localhost Foreman or one remote proxy arbitrary (where I have my smtp, powercli...).
This remote proxy execute the job template (for example a powercli script, a mailx command...) using the selected host list as variable in the job template (for actions over vcenter filtering by tha list, for sending ONE mail with the list of hosts over we are going to work...)
This feature would be very potent, because it would be like a generic pluging that cover actions that haven't got implemented puging.
