http://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/yum/2.3/katello/RHEL/6Server/x86_64/katello-repos-latest.rpm provides:

/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-katello
/etc/yum.repos.d/katello-client.repo
/etc/yum.repos.d/katello.repo

The baseurl for the 'katello-client-source' in /etc/yum.repos.d/katello-client.repo should be:

baseurl=https://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/source/srpm/2.3/client/RHEL/$releasever/

i.e. it should include 'srpm'.
