Feature #17229
closedInitiate OpenSCAP scan from web ui
Description
Cloned from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1339715
Description of problem:
Request enhancement of Foreman's OpenSCAP to start a scan of a selected host (or possibly more than one host) immediately via the Web UI.
There is a manual process via CLI, but being able to do this in the Web UI would be useful.

How about to add a remote_execution job template which runs "foreman_scap_client <policy_id>" and policy_id will be added from the host's policy ids (so to run the job per each policy, or choose policy)?
Let me know if this path makes sense :)

I think that's the way to do it. I shared a template I used on last cfgmgmt talk via PR to community templates. I'll be happy if you test it and share your findings in the PR :-)

We could also go further and define REX feature object and add a button somewhere on host page or even bulk action to trigger the template.

I'm reopening since there might be more than just a template. My apologies, I should have used Refs.
