Description

Currently we sometimes use the syntax 

gem 'safemode', '~> 1.3', '>= 1.3.4'
which is equivalent to 
gem 'safemode', '>= 1.3.4', '< 2'
. The latter is easier to handle in a script to generate RPM dependency statements.
